Privacy Policy
This website, thepfamilystories.com, belongs to Shirl Clarke, author of The P Family Stories: Building Character. This page explains what happens to the information you share here. It is written in plain language, and the short version is that I ask for as little as I can and I do not sell or rent it.
What I collect
The only place this site asks for anything is the form for the free Building Character Activity Book. There you enter your first name and your email address. That is all the form asks for. If you write to me at pfamilystories@gmail.com, I also receive whatever you choose to put in your message.
Why I collect it
Your email address is used to send you the activity book and to let me say hello afterward. When someone requests the book, I am notified with their name and email address, and I may write to you personally, for example to ask which story your child enjoyed or to answer a question about the book or about classroom and church copies. There is no automated email series behind the sign-up. You will not receive a stream of marketing messages.
Who handles it
I do not sell, rent or trade your information. To make the form and the email work, it passes through a few services that act on my behalf: GoHighLevel (also called LeadConnector), which hosts the sign-up form and sends the activity book email, and Netlify, which hosts this website. These services may set the cookies and keep the technical records that are normal for running a website and sending email. Each has its own privacy policy. I may also share information if the law requires it.
Links to other sites
This site links to Amazon, where the book is sold. Once you leave this site, Amazon’s own privacy practices apply.
Children
The stories are for children, but this website is written for parents, grandparents and teachers. The sign-up form is meant for adults, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted their information, please email me and I will delete it.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email I send you, or by emailing me. You may also ask me to tell you what I have on file for you, correct it, or delete it. Write to pfamilystories@gmail.com and I will take care of it.
Keeping it safe
I use reputable services and take reasonable care with your information. No website or email system can promise perfect security, but I treat what you share with respect.
Changes
If I change how I handle information, I will update this page and the date at the top.
